In the beginning...
...there was light.
And with that, welcome to my new blog, Omar Nour: Olympic Triathlete.
In the months leading up to the 2012 Olympics in London, I will be sharing a lot of my life with you. Either via Facebook, Twitter, or here on the new Blog.
While Triathlon is comprised of three disciplines, there are quite literally hundreds, if not thousands of moving parts that have to come together in order to make the Olympic games. In my case, that journey, is not merely a statistical achievement, it is actually historic. Literally.
You see, when I toe the start line in London, I will be the first person in Egyptian Olympic history to compete in triathlon.
My journey had an unlikely start line and the steep climb leads to a daunting finish. Yet I have defied the odds, the nay-sayers, and the unforeseeable, along the way, only to be 18 short months away from writing Olympic and Egyptian history.
